June
19, 1992: A court agreed with a man accused of distributing narcotics to a
minor. The court ruled that the Fairfax Police tricked him into a confession,
failed to present evidence about defendant's state of mind, whether he was
under the influence of any drug or alcohol. The court questioned whether he had
acknowledged understanding his constitutional rights, or whether he had any
prior experience with the criminal justice system. The cops got away with it.
No one was punished or reprimanded.
