In
June of 1997, a 23-year veteran of the Fairfax County police was charged armed
(Shotgun) robbery of bank and stealing more than $70,000. The cop had three years to go before
retirement. After he was arrested, the
cop was relieved of duty and placed on administrative leave with pay.

cop was eventually sent to prison on the charge.
On
March 24, 1998, the cop was indicted on
similar charges in Stafford County Police said the former Fairfax Count
Cop robbed the National Bank of
Fredericksburg on Nov. 21, 1995, and Sept. 17, 1996.
